the luncheon as part of its efforts to increase the level of cooperation
on nanotechnology research between academic, industrial and government
stakeholders in Canada and Europe. Recognizing the importance of
international collaboration in this field, the European Union recently
announced 3.475 billion euros for nanotechnology research over the
next seven years and chose, for the first time, to encourage international
participation in all European research activities. Officials will
be on hand throughout the conference to answer questions.
