European Research Area - Canada Initiative
(ERA-CAN) is hositng a luncheon on Wednesday, June 20 and
participating with an Exhibit and sponsoring speakers as part of its
efforts to increase the level of cooperation on nanotechnology research
between academic, industrial and government stakeholders in Canada
and Europe. Recognizing the importance of international collaboration
in this field, the European Union recently announced 3.475 billion
euros for nanotechnology research over the next seven years and chose,
for the first time, to encourage international participation in all
European research activities. Officials will be on hand throughout
